Meet Our Team

Board Of Directors
Angela Hanson
President/Adoption coordinator

Angela and her husband Brant starting out fostering for a couple of other local rescues. They had followed CARE on Facebook for a several months before deciding to work with CARE and Angel exclusively. They live on 10 acres in the Tulsa area with their two horses, two donkeys, 2 cats, 5 personal dogs and a variety of foster dogs.

"Before I started working in rescue, I felt very helpless to do anything about so many animals in need. Now I feel like i'm a part of the solution. There's no better feeling in the world than being able to put an animal in a home where they will be loved and cared for. Everyone can do something"
Ashleigh Graif
Vice President/Foster coordinator

Ashleigh has been rescuing animals for as long as she can remember. Even when she was little she would always try to help any critter in need, her sister helping to convince their parents to say yes! Fast-forward to adulthood and she started fostering for rescues because of the giant need she saw here in the state of Oklahoma. Her journey began with wanting to help the senior and special needs dogs, giving them a soft place to land to enjoy whatever time they had left comfortably and happily. After a few of these cases, she needed a change and took on a nursing mom who had 11 puppies and now fosters any size and any age! Her home at any given time typically has double digits of dogs and they have free range of her property and home.

"I used to live in the heart of Tulsa and was fairly ignorant to the abundance of dogs that were being being dumped, chained, taken to the shelter, and euthanized. When I realized this huge problem, I wanted to do my part to help save some of these precious beings and give them an opportunity at a life that the person before me didn't think they deserved."

Kellie Yandian
Fundraising Coordinator

Kellie and her husband Robb started their adventure with CARE Rescue two years ago in July of 2018  by adopting a puppy named Maple. After staying connected with CARE and seeing all the amazing work that was being done they decided to become foster parents. Their first time was an adventure of fostering a litter of 6 puppies. They foster failed two of those puppies becoming the first  in the CARE Rescue family to adopt 3 dogs from CARE. As of now they have fostered around 17 dogs.

“ I have always had a love for abandoned animals. It is my desire for all dogs and cats to have a safe, loving home and feel that they are a part of a family”

We are a foster based rescue, but you can come see us every Saturday at the Petsmart at 10122 S Memorial in Tulsa, OK.
